PPGI is pre-painted galvanised iron, also known as pre-coated steel, coil coated steel, color coated steel etc., typically with a hot dip zinc coated steel substrate. The term is an extension of GI which is a traditional abbreviation for Galvanized Iron.PPGL stands for pre-painted galvalume steel, which is a kind of color-coated steel with GL as substrate. It combines the strength of steel with excellent anti-corrosion of Zn-Al coating. The galvalume coating is made of 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon.Pre-Painted Galvanized Iron Steel, also called PPGI, and Pre-Painted Galvalume Steel, PPGL, are two different types of color coated steel. Both PPGI and PPGL are used in a wide range of industries such as construction, transportation, and the appliance industry, Pre coated GI sheet is the plates that take cold rolled steel plates, zinc/alu-zinc steel sheets as substrate. And the substrate is firstly under pretreatment (degrease and chemical treatment). Then it's followed by being coated with one layer or multi-layer liquid coatings with different colors via roller painting
