It is customised to be application specific, and may be used to: Cool certain equipment - like laser cutting machines or hydraulic circuits. Cool a certain process - such as printing, or the fermentation of alcohol.Process cooling water is a method of creating chilled water to help get rid of ambient or process heat. Whether you work in a food processing facility or manufacturing facility, a process cooling water system will likely be necessary. This type of water is also used in the power generation industry.In process cooling, the temperature and flow of the liquid will depend on the need of that particular process in removing heat from the process. The temperature of the fluid can range from -20°F or -29°C. This will have to be determined during the design of the cooling processes in tandem with the equipment.Cooling is removal of heat, usually resulting in a lower temperature and/or phase change. Temperature lowering achieved by any other means may also be called cooling. The transfer of thermal energy may occur via thermal radiation, heat conduction or convection.Actually, evaporation is a cooling process because when liquid turns to gas, it needs more energy and so it has to take that energy from its surrounding. The energy is in the form of heat and when the energy (heat) leaves with the evaporating liquid; surrounding gets cooler.
