A shrink tunnel or heat tunnel is a heated tunnel mounted over or around a conveyor system. Items (such as packaging) have shrink film loosely applied; with heat, the film shrinks to fit snugly around the wrapped object.A shrink tunnel (also commonly known as a heat tunnel) is a metallic tunnel that sits above or is built around a conveyor. The tunnel has a heating element that heats the products as they move through the machine. Your products are conveyed through the tunnel and are cloaked with loosely fitting shrink film.Shrink and stretch films will generally last for one year from the time you receive them. During that time period you must use climate control to the best of your abilities to properly store them.The material known as shrink wrap is a clear plastic wrap that is used to package millions of products around the world. Shrink wrap is called shrink wrap because it shrinks around the product being packaged when it is exposed to heat.Induction sealing creates a hermetic seal by passing a capped bottle under the induction sealer in a non-contact process. The energy gets transferred to the foil liner(aluminium foil), which creates heat.Glass containers need to be treated before they can be induction sealed. Amber glass jars, used in cosmetics for their UV-blocking capabilities, are an example. Finally, metal containers can be induction sealed, but sealing is made difficult by the heat generated in the process.Potential for Damage: Finally, some materials can cause damage to your induction cook top, leading to expensive repairs or the need to replace your entire appliance. For example, aluminium foil can cause damage if placed in contact with the cook top, so it needs to be used with care.
