Polyvinyl Chloride, more famously known as PVC, is the material used to make PVC Suction and Discharge Hoses. Their basic features include high utility, efficiency and durability. PVC hoses are used primarily for industrial purposes.The larger pipe is referred to as the suction line. Both the suction and liquid lines are insulated on mini-split line sets. The liquid line diameter can be 1/4, 3/8 or 5/8 inches, and the suction line can be 1/2, 5/8 or 3/4 inches depending on the size and efficiency of the air conditioner or heat pump.
