It has been specially designed to evaluate the impact resistance of plastics. The equipment works on the principle of the pendulum method. IZOD/Charpy Impact Tester is a consistent tool to measure the impact resistance of materials under sudden falling force or impact The test instrument covers two tests, namely. Izod (horizontal impact on vertically clamped specimen) Charpy (vertical impact on the horizontally placed specimen).The Izod/Charpy Impact test is significant in testing and evaluating the impact resistance of various plastic products. The test is used to determine the energy that is required to break a standard test specimen using the pendulum method. This highly reliable instrument is a must for all plastic testing laboratories and quality control departments.Izod/Charpy Impact Tester reveals the impact strength in terms of J/m. This tester is used to designed to check the impact strength of plastics.Specification:Rigid designs of instrument frame & other parts assure minimum energy absorption during fracture which results in improved test accuraciesThe highly strained & wearing parts like support blocks & strikers are of special alloy steels duly heat treatedInitial potential energy for Charpy is 300 Joules & for Izod is 170 Joules with a Least Count of 2 Joules (for Analogue models) & resolution of 0.5 Joules (for Digital Model)ASTM Impact Testing machine is also provided, which conforms to E-23 ASTM standardGauges, Tongs, Sub-zero bath, Templates, U & V Notch milling cutters are available with it (Optional)
