Product Details
Raychem EPKJ series kits are heat-shrinkable straight-through joints used to connect two lengths of power cables. They are designed for both polymeric (XLPE/EPR) and paper-insulated cables, providing a waterproof seal and reliable insulation that allows for immediate energisation after installationKey Technical Features Triple-Layer Technology: Many modern EPKJ joints use a triple-extruded single tubing that integrates insulation and stress control, reducing installation time and kit components. Stress Control: Incorporates impedance stress control sleeves to manage electrical fields at the joint interface. Durability: Unlimited shelf life under normal storage conditions and resistant to moisture and environmental pollutants. Standards: Tested in accordance with IS 13573-2, IEC 60502-4, and CENELEC HD.629.1. Comparison: EPKJ vs. EPKT EPKJ: Used for Straight Joints (connecting cable to cable). EPKT: Used for Terminations (connecting cable to equipment like transformers or switchgear).
