The Raychem HVOT Antitracking Insulating Tube is a medium-wall, heat-shrinkable tubing designed to provide electrical insulation and environmental protection for medium to high voltage cable terminations in challenging conditions. It is known for its excellent anti-tracking and anti-erosion properties. Key Features and SpecificationsThe HVOT tubing is made from a cross-linked polyolefin material that is UV-stabilized and flame-retardant. It is a key component in Raychem medium voltage heat shrink terminations. Application: Used for indoor and outdoor medium voltage cable terminations (typically 1 kV to 36 kV). It protects the underlying cable insulation from erosion caused by leakage currents, particularly in areas of high electrical stress and environmental contamination. Material Properties: Anti-tracking: Resistant to tracking and erosion, as per ASTM D2303. Halogen-free: Made from a non-halogen based polymer to reduce toxic and corrosive effects in case of fire. Environmental Resistance: Extremely durable, resists damage from solvents, ultraviolet light, weathering, and mechanical impact. Dielectric Strength: High dielectric strength, with sources citing 150 kV/cm minimum @ 2.5 mm thickness, according to IEC 243. Shrink Ratio: Features a typical 3:1 shrink ratio, allowing it to fit snugly over a wide range of cable sizes and accessories. Available ProductsThe HVOT tubing is available in a range of sizes to accommodate different cable diameters. Raychem HVOT-38/12: Has an expanded diameter of 38 mm and a recovered diameter of 12 mm, with a recovered wall thickness of 2.9 mm. Raychem HVOT-50/16: Features an expanded diameter of 50 mm and a recovered diameter of 16 mm, with a recovered wall thickness of 3.1 mm. Raychem HVOT-82/29: Offers an expanded diameter of 82 mm and a recovered diameter of 29 mm, with a recovered wall thickness of 3.2 mm. Raychem HVOT-92/38: Has an expanded diameter of 92 mm and a recovered diameter of 38 mm, with a recovered wall thickness of 3.3 mm.
