Molding produces rubber parts by pressing a block of rubber into a metal cavity. The rubber inside of the cavity is then exposed to heat, activating a chemical reaction. The three most common methods of molding are rubber injection molding, compression molding, and transfer molding.The process involves the injection of melted plastic into a mold, which is made of steel. The mold itself has cavities that will form the parts; once injected, the molten plastic fills the cavities and the rest of the mold. Once cooled, the parts are ejected by pins.Rubber moulding is a process that takes raw rubber compound and creates a final product in the desired geometry.
