During this process, the contaminants are filtered out and flushed away, leaving clean, delicious drinking water.Osmosis is water moving through a semipermeable membrane from lower to higher concentrations. Reverse osmosis, also called ultrafiltration, is water moving through a semipermeable membrane from higher to lower concentrations.
