Key Technical Insights1. The "J" Spool Function The "J" spool is a 4/3 directional valve (4 ports, 3 positions). Neutral (Spring Centered): All ports (P, A, B, T) are blocked. This is commonly used to "lock" a hydraulic cylinder in place when the solenoids are not energized. Solenoid "a": P connects to B, A connects to T. Solenoid "b": P connects to A, B connects to T. 2. The "V" (FKM/Viton) Seals Unlike the standard NBR (Nitrile) seals found in most valves, this unit uses FKM (Viton). This makes the valve compatible with: High temperatures: Operates effectively in environments hotter than standard NBR can handle. Special Fluids: Resistant to phosphate ester-based fire-resistant fluids (HFD-R) and specific synthetic oils. 3. Component Series 7X The 7X series is the modern iteration of the WE6 valve. It features optimized flow channels that reduce pressure drop and improve switching reliability compared to the older 6X series. Core Specifications Maximum Operating Pressure: 350 bar (5076 psi). Maximum Flow Rate: Up to 80 L/min (21 gpm) — Note that "J" spools may have specific performance limits (switching power limits) depending on the flow/pressure combination. Switching Times: Approx. 45–65 ms (DC solenoids are generally slightly slower than AC, but offer smoother operation).
