Rod End Bearings (Heim Joints / Rose Joints) A Rod End Bearing is a type of mechanical articulating joint used to connect control rods, linkages, or shafts that must transmit motion and force while allowing a certain degree of misalignment. It consists of a spherical plain bearing mounted in a housing with a threaded shaft (male or female) for easy installation in mechanical assemblies. Construction Body (Head): Usually made of steel, stainless steel, or aluminum, shaped like an eye. Spherical Bearing: A ball with an inner hole, capable of oscillating inside the housing. Threaded Shank: Can be male (external thread) or female (internal thread) for connection to rods. Liners/Seals (optional): For reduced friction, longer service life, and protection against dust.
