91 000 74051 Roff Master-Fix Adhesive (MFA) A high-performance, two-component (2K), polyurethane-epoxy hybrid tile adhesive. It is a highly flexible, multi-purpose, thin-set adhesive designed for challenging substrates and demanding conditions.Primary Function: To provide an extremely strong, flexible, and durable bond for fixing tiles and stones on a vast range of difficult surfaces where standard cement-based adhesives fail.Key Features & Benefits (from TDS):Universe Substrate Compatibility: Bonds to cement, metal (steel, aluminum), plywood, drywall (gypsum board), epoxy/PU floors, rubber, PVC, glass, and existing tiles.High Flexibility (S2 Class): Exceptional deformability (≥30mm) to withstand vibrations, thermal expansion, and structural movement without cracking.High Bond Strength (R2T Class): Offers very high shear and tensile adhesion strength (>5.0 N/mm²), even after water immersion and thermal shock.Long Open Time: 60-minute working time, ideal for large-format tiles and complex installations.Chemical & Weather Resistant: Resistant to water, freeze-thaw cycles, heat ageing (up to +100°C), solvents, alkalis, and oils. Suitable for interiors and exteriors.Low VOC: For healthier indoor air quality.Q1: What makes this adhesive different from standard tile adhesives?A: This is a reaction-resin hybrid adhesive (R2T, S2), not a cement-based one. It is designed for surfaces where cementitious adhesives cannot bond properly, such as metal, wood, and painted surfaces. It is also far more flexible and strong.Q2: What is the mixing ratio?A: The 4 kg kit is pre-proportioned: 3.65 kg of Part A (paste) must be mixed with 0.35 kg of Part B (liquid hardener). This is a fixed weight ratio of 100:10. Do not alter this ratio.Q3: How long do I have to work with it after mixing?A: You have a 60-minute pot life, open time, and adjustability time. This means you must mix, apply, and set the tiles within 60 minutes of mixing the two components.Q4: When can we walk on the tiles or grout?A:Light traffic/grouting: After 24 hours.Normal use: After 3 days.Heavy duty traffic: After 7 days.Q5: What is the coverage area?A: Coverage depends on the trowel notch size:With a 3mm x 3mm notch trowel: 16 - 20 sq. ft. per 4kg pack.With a 6mm x 6mm notch trowel: 8 - 10 sq. ft. per 4kg pack.Q6: What are its limitations?A:Not a waterproofing membrane. You must use a waterproofing coat (e.g., Roff SmartSeal) in wet areas before tiling.Do not use on polystyrene or uncured/damp substrates.Do not use to bond transparent glass materials.Not for use in expansion joints.Q7: What is the shelf life?A: 24 months from the date of manufacture when stored in a cool, dry place in its original, sealed packaging, out of direct sunlight.Q8: Is it safe to use?A: It is for professional use only. Wear protective gloves and eye protection. Avoid skin and eye contact. In case of contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice if necessary.
