The Rotronic Duct Humidity and Temperature Transmitter is a precision environmental measurement instrument designed for the continuous monitoring and transmission of relative humidity and temperature in air ducts and ventilation systems. It is used to measure the moisture content and temperature of air flowing through HVAC systems, air handling units, ventilation ducts, and other industrial and commercial air-conditioning installations. The instrument provides reliable measurement data to support environmental control, process monitoring, energy management, and indoor air quality applications.The transmitter is designed for installation directly into an air duct, allowing it to measure the temperature and humidity of the air passing through the system. It typically consists of a sensing probe, a temperature and humidity sensing element, an electronic transmitter unit, and a suitable mounting arrangement. The sensing probe is inserted into the duct to obtain representative measurements of the air conditions, while the transmitter processes the sensor signals and converts the measured parameters into electrical output signals for use by building management systems (BMS), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC controllers, or other compatible monitoring and control equipment. The temperature measurement function provides information about the thermal condition of the air, while the relative humidity measurement indicates the amount of moisture present in the air relative to its saturation level at the measured temperature. These parameters are essential for maintaining suitable indoor environmental conditions, controlling ventilation and air-conditioning processes, preventing excessive moisture accumulation, and improving the performance of air treatment systems.
