Product Details
The Raychem RSTI-68-CC-SA (by TE Connectivity) is a screened, separable coupling surge arrester designed to provide overvoltage protection for medium-voltage networks up to 42 kV. Unlike standard standalone arresters, the "-CC-" designation indicates it is a coupling unit, specifically built to plug into the rear of an existing RSTI-68 base connector to create a "double-T" or parallel connection. Core Function & Technology Surge Protection: It uses Zinc Oxide (ZnO) gapless varistor technology to clamp high-voltage surges from lightning or switching events. Screened/Touch-Proof: The body is made of highly modified silicone rubber with a permanently bonded conductive outer screen. When connected to earth, this makes the device safe to touch even while energized.
