The Raychem RSTI-68 series consists of screened, separable T-connectors (plug-in terminations) designed to connect single and three-core polymeric cables to medium-voltage gas-insulated switchgear (GIS), ring main units (RMU), and transformers using Interface C (630A or 1250A) bushings.Key Features Touch-Proof Design: Made of highly modified silicone rubber with a thin-walled conductive outer screen connected to earth, making them safe to touch during operation. Easy Installation: Features a separable mounting system that can be installed under virtually any environmental condition. Capacitive Test Point: Equipped with a removable rear plug and a capacitive test point to check if the circuit is energized. Mechanical Lugs: Both kits typically include high-performance mechanical shear bolt lugs that work for both Aluminum (Al) and Copper (Cu) conductors. Versatility: While often used in switchgear, they are equally suited for both indoor and outdoor installations due to their hermetically insulated, metal-enclosed design.
