Rubber compression molding is a process where you take a preformed rubber material and place it into a cavity of a heated mold. You then close the mold in order to shape the preformed material using pressure and heat for a specific amount of time in order to cure the rubber.Compression moulding is when pre-heated raw material is “compressed” into a cavity mould, while heat and pressure is continuously applied to the mould until the rubber is cured. Benefits of Using Compression Moulding.Compression is a process under which volume of the system is gradually reduced, pressure and temperature increases where heat transfer may or may not be possible. While in expansion process volume is gradually decrease with the decrease in pressure and temperature and heat transfer may or may not be possible.
