Rucaparib to treat advanced ovarian and prostate cancers. BDPARIB is the first affordable generic in the India available in the form of a tablet, with the cost of therapy less expensive than any existing drugs in the market. Rucaparib is an oral, small-molecule inhibitor of poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP)1, 2, and 3 used as a monotherapy and in conjunction with other anti-cancer agents in several tumor forms, including ovarian and prostate cancers. It has played a significant role in treating ovarian cancer patients with BRCA mutation (germline or somatic) associated with epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer who have been treated with two or more chemotherapy.
