Runway CLS 3.5 Guide Catheter (Short / "SH") — what it is, how it works, its features, and when & how it's used. It is a 6 French (6F) catheter with a lumen internal diameter of ~0.070 inch. Length ~100 cm (for SH versions similar). The shaft is relatively firm (rigid) to provide good pushability and backup ("support") when navigating through blood vessels. This helps when passing devices (guidewires, balloons, stents) and resisting buckling.: To enable access from a vascular entry (often femoral or radial artery) up to the coronary arteries during coronary angiography or percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI). It acts as a stable conduit. The CLS‑3.5 curve is chosen when the anatomical orientation of coronary ostia (take‑off points) needs a certain alignment — left main coronary, etc. The curvature helps in engaging the artery ostium safely and efficiently.
