One side uses a clamping hub, while the other uses an expanding mandrel, creating a strong friction-locked connection that is backlash-free and torsionally rigid. The stainless-steel bellows allows the coupling to compensate for axial, angular, and radial misalignment without losing positioning accuracy, making it ideal for servo drives, encoders, ball screws, and other precision motion systems.
