It takes the initial impact, protecting the motorcycle's most vital and expensive components: the engine, fuel tank, radiator, and main frame. Rider Safety: It creates a safety gap between the ground and the rider's legs, reducing the risk of crushing injuries during a fall. Accessory Mounting: Many crash guards for adventure bikes like the Himalayan feature additional mounting points for accessories like auxiliary fog lights or highway footpegs. Typical Features (for Himalayan): Material: High-strength Mild Steel (MS) tubing (often 25mm diameter or more). Construction: Heavy-duty, often featuring a multi-point mounting system (3 points or more) for superior strength and force dispersion across the bike's frame. Sliders: Many modern guards include integrated sliders (made of hard plastic or nylon) that protrude slightly.
