A Safety Light Curtain is an advanced optoelectronic safety device designed to protect operators, workers, and machinery by detecting unauthorized access to hazardous areas of industrial equipment. It is widely used in automated manufacturing processes, industrial machinery, robotic workstations, hydraulic presses, packaging machines, and material-handling systems where personnel safety is a major concern. Manufactured using advanced infrared sensing technology and high-quality electronic components, a Safety Light Curtain creates an invisible protective barrier using multiple parallel infrared light beams between a transmitter and a receiver. When a person, hand, finger, or any other object enters the protected area and interrupts one or more of these light beams, the receiver detects the interruption and sends a safety signal to the connected safety relay, safety controller, or machine control system. The system helps initiate an immediate machine stop or other predefined protective action to prevent operators from coming into contact with dangerous moving parts. It provides reliable non-contact protection without requiring physical barriers, allowing convenient access to machinery for loading, unloading, inspection, and production operations.
