The SD 10 pH meter (by Lovibond/Tintometer) is a compact, waterproof pocket tester used for measuring the acidity or alkalinity ( 0–14) of water solutions in labs, industrial plants, and field applications. Key uses include testing boiler water, cooling water, swimming pool water, and wastewater treatment, featuring a 3-color LED display and durable design. Primary Uses and Applications: Water Treatment & Analysis: Monitoring drinking water quality and wastewater treatment processes. Industrial Processes: Regular checks in industrial plants for cooling or boiler water. Environmental Field Testing: Quick, on-site testing for environmental monitoring. Swimming Pools/Spas: Checking pool water balance. Laboratory Analysis: General laboratory testing, offering high portability and accuracy. Key Functional FeaturesAccording to manufacturer specifications from Lovibond, the device includes several features that facilitate its use in diverse conditions: Three-Color Display: Uses a backlit LCD system where blue indicates measurement mode, green shows calibration mode, and red signals an alarm status. Automatic Calibration: Features automatic buffer recognition (USA and NIST standards) and 1–3 point calibration to maintain accuracy. Temperature Compensation: Includes Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) for accurate readings between 0°C and 50°C. Durability: Rated IP67 waterproof, allowing it to withstand wet environments and even float if dropped into water. Replaceable Electrodes: The sensor can be easily replaced, extending the overall life of the handheld unit.
