Packed tower scrubbers, also known as packed bed scrubbers or packed column scrubbers, are a type of wet scrubber specifically designed for the chemical scrubbing of gaseous contaminants from airstreams.Instead of forming bags from a roll of flat packaging material, this machine is loaded with bags that are already formed into their end shape (premade pouches). The bags are then fed into the machine where they are opened, filled with product, and sealed shut.Scrubbers are one of the primary devices that control gaseous emissions, especially acid gases. Scrubbers can also be used for heat recovery from hot gases by flue-gas condensation. They are also used for the high flows in solar, PV, or LED processes.
