ShaliMastic®-HD / LC is an anti-corrosive, heavy duty thermoplastic high build / low build coatingbased on specially processed coal tar pitch. ShaliMastic®-HD conforms generally to the AmericanBureau of Reclamations specification “Cold Applied Coal tar Compound CA50” whereasShaliMastic®-LC conforms to IS: 290. Application• Cold applied liquid product.• Protection for buried / submerged surface or equipment.• Coating interior / exterior surfaces of metal or concrete tanks, culverts, steel pilings, filterscreens, sluice gates, tank bases, trestles etc.• Coating of interior / exterior of barges and under-water structures. Advantages• Unaffected by marine organisms, soil chemicals and soil bacteria.• Highly resistant to corrosion due to seal water / alkalies / acid.• Retains its pliability over a wide range of temperatures.• Provides an abrasion resistant tough coat which is 5-8 times thicker than a coat of ordinaryconventional anti-corrosive coatings.• Provides a void-less, joint-less continuous film capable of taking expansions and contractionswithout cracking.• Acts as an excellent water resistant coating even under severe corrosive conditions.
