Product Details
Silicone-insulated multicore flexible copper cables are high-performance electrical conductors designed for extreme temperature environments (typically -60°C to +200°C) and applications requiring constant movement. They feature multiple cores of stranded tinned or bare copper protected by a synthetic elastomer (silicone rubber) that remains flexible where standard PVC cables would become brittle. Temperature Range: Typically rated for continuous operation from -60°C to +180°C, with some variants handling up to +250°C short-term. Voltage Rating: Commonly available in 300V/500V or 450V/750V ratings; specialized high-voltage versions can reach up to 6.6 KV. Flexibility: Stranded copper conductors (often Class 5) provide a tight minimum bending radius, typically 4 to 7.5 times the cable diameter. Safety Features: Inherently halogen-free and flame-retardant. In case of fire, the insulation decomposes into a non-conductive silica ash that can temporarily maintain circuit integrity. Resistance: Excellent resistance to UV, ozone, moisture, and many chemicals (alcohols, diluted acids, and vegetable fats). Common Applications Industrial: Foundries, steel mills, glass factories, and industrial ovens where ambient heat is high. Medical & Food: Used in medical robotics and laboratory equipment due to biocompatibility and resistance to fungal growth. Automotive & Aerospace: Engine compartment wiring, sensors, and lighting systems subject to vibration and heat.
