Girder electric wire rope hoist is a mechanism that uses a wire rope or cable fixed to a rotating pulley to raise and carry heavy items. A hook is attached to the cable's end and used to grapple onto an object to be lifted. The pulley is connected to a motor that is controlled by a hand controller.Wire rope hoists utilize wire rope as a hoisting medium, wrapping the wire around a grooved drum to conduct the lift. Wire rope could be used as a hoisting medium in several industry sectors. In demanding or intense lifting applications, wire rope hoists are the best choice.Single Girder Overhead Bridge Cranes. On a single girder crane, the bridge consists of one girder beam supported on each side by an end truck. The trolley and hoist are most commonly underhung meaning they run on the bottom flange of the bridge. The bridge itself can either be top running or under running in design.
