An injection molding machine also known as an injection press, is a machine for manufacturing plastic products by the injection molding process.Injection molding is a method to obtain molded products by injecting plastic materials molten by heat into a mold, and then cooling and solidifying them. The method is suitable for the mass production of products with complicated shapes, and takes a large part in the area of plastic processing.Injection molding machines, also known as presses, consist of a material hopper, an injection ram or screw-type plunger, and a heating unit. Molds are clamped to the platen of the molding machine, where plastic is injected into the mold through the sprue orifice.There are three types of injection molding machines, classified by the type of drive/motor — hydraulic, electric, or hybrid.There are four stages in the cycle. These stages are the clamping, injection, cooling and ejection stages.There are 5 types of plastic moulding that is considered to be the most effective and most popular. These 5 types are extrusion moulding, compression moulding, blow moulding, injection moulding and rotational moulding.
