- Brakes for all the drives are generally AC electro hydraulic
- Thruster brakes or electro magnetic Shoe/disc type brakes according to the application or client requirement
- Supported on anti-friction thrust bearings, hook are of either shank or rams-horn type
- Sheave pulleys are made of malleable cast iron or fabricated, conforming to IS 3815
- Cranes can be controlled either by pendant/cabin/radio remote or combination of any of these
- The main electrical components are housed in a sheet steel enclosure, located conveniently for easy maintenance
