SKF ConCentra roller bearing units are part of SKF's commitment to the "Total Shaft Solutions" programme that provides a wide assortment of innovative bearing products to the air handling, conveyor equipment, fluid machinery, agricultural and forestry industries. SKF ConCentra roller bearing units, with their true concentric locking mechanism, are friction assemblies that provide optimum performance in applications where there is a need for easy bearing unit replacement and minimal maintenance. There is no comparable bearing unit available on the market that can be mounted or dismounted as quickly and as accurately as the SKF ConCentra technology allows. Where bearing units with eccentric locking technology had been used before, SKF ConCentra roller bearing units provide superior performance. Types of mounted bearing solutions The SKF assortment comprises four main types of mounted bearing solutions: Ball bearing units  Roller bearing units  Housings with bearings Split bearing units   SKF ConCentra Roller Bearing Units SKF ConCentra roller bearing units are robust, ready-to-mount bearing units that are assembled, lubricated and sealed at the factory for maximum service life. When compared to sleeve-mounted bearing units in split housings, SKF ConCentra roller bearing units provide a number of advantages including: • longer service life • higher operational reliability • quicker mounting • minimal maintenance • simplified replacement The housings SKF ConCentra roller bearing units are available in two housing series: • a non-split plummer block housing in the SYNT series • a flanged housing in the FYNT series Plummer block housings in the SYNT series have a stiff design that helps the housing to retain its form. These non-split, grey cast iron housings have the same excellent heat conducting properties and strength as comparably sized SKF split SNL plummer block housings. SYNT 40 FTS Pillow (plummer) block roller bearing units and take-up roller bearing units consist of a spherical or tapered roller bearing mounted in a non-split housing that can be bolted to a support surface. This variant has a spherical roller bearing, a two-bolt base and SKF ConCentra locking, creating a true concentric tight fit, and setting the correct internal clearance within the bearing. The units are sealed and lubricated and ready to use. This bearing unit covers a wide range of requirements, in metric dimensions. SYNT 40 FTS SYNT 40 LTS SYNT 35 F SYNT 35 FTF FYNT 35 F Triangular flanged roller bearing units consist of a spherical roller bearing mounted in a cast iron housing that can be bolted to a machine wall. They are robust, ready-to-mount units that are assembled, lubricated and sealed at the factory for maximum service life. The simple installation, easy alignment and reliable locking technology of SKF ConCentra units contribute to a smooth operation.
