The SKN Direct-On-Line (DOL) Starter is an electrical control device, often manufactured by the SKN Bentex Group, used to directly connect a 3-phase or single-phase induction motor to the full line voltage. It's primarily comprised of an electromagnetic contactor and an overload relay (often thermal or digital).
