a conveyor consisting of one or more endless chains to which horizontal spaced slats are attached to form a moving support for the objects being conveyed.Slat conveyors consist of endless chains, driven by electric motors operating through reduction gears and sprockets, with attached spaced slats to carry objects that would damage a belt because of sharp edges or heavy weights.Common types are belt, roller, motorized roller and overhead conveyors. We categorize them as floor style (mounted on the floor) or overhead. Use them to move products, create buffers and deliver products in sequence for a production line.Slat top chains are made of special reinforced high-strength plastics or stainless steel. They consist of plastic or metal links or plates that are connected to each other by pins or drive locks. The plates can be also mounted on a classic roller chain.
