SMARTsaa offers Reverse Rotation Monitor (RRM) for detecting reverse rotation condition of CW Pumps and protecting the motors against damage due to starting of motors when propeller is rotating in reverse direction. The reverse rotation monitor (RRM) is used for protection of important machinery like Boiler feed pumps, Turbine, Horizontal and vertical pumps, compressors, crushers etc. against reverse rotation. It provides indication of reverse rotation event. Finds applications in machines having fluid couplings wherein bearing damages can be avoided by using RRM. This unit also can be used as "Start Permissive contact" during reverse rotation in vertical or horizontal pumps. Motor or pumps cannot be restarted unless and otherwise reverse rotation / flow drops to acceptable range. Various models are available depending on application. The system consists of specially developed "Proximeter" assembly unit and control unit. The Proximeter assembly unit is to be mounted near to the end shaft of the motor / end pulley , while the control unit can be mounted in the control room or in the field near to motor. Geared wheel/ flag arrangement / key slot arrangement etc. is required at site for proper functioning of RRM. Common Technical Specifications: 1. Input: From Proximeter assembly. 2. Supply Voltage: 230V AC. +/- 10% or any other please specify. 3. LED indications: a) Power b) Signal c) Reverse d) Forward e) Sensor Fail f) Stand Still. 4. Relay Contact rating: 5A Resistive at 230V AC. 5. No. of Pulses per Rotation: 1 minimum 6. Resolution: +/- 1 RPM. 7. Operating Temperature: 0-55 Deg. Cent. 8. Reverse speed setting: Internally fixed (10 RPM typically). 9. Speed indication range: a. For indication: 50- 9999 RPM b. Re-transmission: 0-1000 RPM 10. Mounting: Wall Mounting / Panel mounting 11. Protection grade: I P 6 5 / I P 5 5 (Field mounting). IP 30 (Panel mounting / Rail mounting). 12. Enclosure: MS fabricated / Cast Al. / ABS Plastic for Din rail. 13.
