Product Details
Smoke Density Test Apparatus is a device used to measure the smoke generated by materials when they burn. It helps in evaluating the fire safety of materials by assessing their smoke-producing characteristics according to ASTM D 2843 standard. The results guide safety standards and regulations in construction and material manufacturing.Standard Compliance: ASTM D 2843, IS 13360The flame and smoke can be observed during the test."EXIT" sign helps to correlate the visibility and measured values.25 by 25 by 6 mm specimen is placed on a support metal screen and burned in laboratory test chamber using a propane burner.Apparatus consists of:- Chamber having Propane burner, specimen holder & EXIT sign- Photometric system for light source, photometer- Exhaust blower for ventilation of combustion products from chamber- HMI touchscreen for absorption (%), time, temperature & smoke density rating (%) measurement.
