Product Details
Sodium persulfate () is a white, odorless, highly water-soluble salt used as a strong oxidizing agent, polymerization initiator, and bleach. It is widely used in electronics for PCB etching, in cosmetics for hair bleaching, and in polymer production. It decomposes upon heating or in moisture, releasing oxygen and acting as a strong oxidant.Common Uses Electronics: Widely used as an etching agent for printed circuit boards (PCBs) to remove copper. Polymerization: Acts as a radical initiator for making polymers like ABS plastic and synthetic rubber. Cosmetics & Textiles: Used as a bleaching agent in hair lighteners and hair colorants, as well as for desizing textiles. Environmental: Applied in soil and groundwater remediation to break down contaminants. Safety & Hazards Oxidizer: Can intensify fires; keep away from combustible materials like paper or oil. Health: It is a known irritant to the skin, eyes, and respiratory system. Prolonged exposure can lead to allergic skin reactions or asthma-like symptoms. Storage: Should be stored in its original container, tightly sealed, and away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture.
