A charge controller or charge regulator is basically a voltage and/or current regulator to keep batteries from overcharging.A solar charge controller is used to keep the battery from overcharging by regulating the voltage and current coming from the solar panel to the battery. It is programmed at 15-A/200-W unit and uses MPPT (maximum power point tracking) to accelerate solar charging of the battery up to 30% per day.A solar controller is an electronic device that controls the circulating pump in a solar hot water system to harvest as much heat as possible from the solar panels and protect the system from overheating.The design consists of four stages which include current booster, battery level indicator, battery charge controller and power supply unit.
