A spherical plain bearing (also called a spherical bearing or spherical plain bushing) is a type of bearing designed to accommodate angular misalignment between two connected parts. Unlike rolling element bearings (which use balls or rollers), spherical plain bearings typically use a sliding contact surface, making them robust and well-suited for heavy loads and oscillating movements.
