Product Details
Super Duplex Sheet is a flat, thin sheet made from super duplex stainless steel, a highly corrosion-resistant alloy with a balanced microstructure of austenite and ferrite and enhanced alloy content—including higher levels of chromium (24–26%), nickel (6–8%), molybdenum, and sometimes nitrogen. This composition gives it exceptional strength and superior resistance to harsh environments, especially those with chlorides, acids, and high pressures. Super duplex sheets are commonly used in offshore oil and gas platforms, chemical processing plants, marine equipment, desalination systems, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels. They are especially valuable in situations where both mechanical strength and maximum corrosion protection are required. Compared to standard duplex and austenitic grades like 316 or 304: Strength is nearly twice as high Corrosion resistance is much better, especially in seawater and acidic conditions Stress corrosion cracking resistance is excellent Lifespan is longer with reduced maintenance Common grades include Super Duplex 2507 (UNS S32750) and UNS S32760, known for their durability, cost efficiency (due to reduced material thickness), and long-term performance in the most demanding industrial environments.
