Product Details
301 Stainless Steel Sheet is a flat, thin sheet made from Grade 301 stainless steel, an austenitic chromium-nickel alloy known for its high strength, good ductility, and excellent corrosion resistance. It contains around 16–18% chromium and 6–8% nickel, and it can be cold worked to achieve high levels of strength and hardness while maintaining good toughness. This grade is commonly used in applications that require strength and flexibility, such as automotive components, railway cars, trailer bodies, aircraft parts, appliances, and architectural structures. It is also used for spring applications, clamps, and fasteners due to its ability to retain shape under stress. 301 Stainless Steel Sheet offers good resistance to atmospheric and mild chemical corrosion, and although it has slightly less corrosion resistance than 304, it is much stronger when cold rolled. Its combination of formability and mechanical strength makes it ideal for high-performance, lightweight, and structural uses.
