Product Description

The Micron India Steam Jacketed Kettle is designed for uniform heating, cooking, boiling, melting, and processing of liquid and semi-liquid materials. It uses steam supplied to the jacket surrounding the product vessel to transfer heat efficiently, helping reduce direct-heating hot spots.

Steam jacketed kettles are widely used in the food processing, pharmaceutical, chemical, cosmetic, dairy, and herbal industries. Depending on the application, the kettle can be supplied with an open or closed vessel, a tilting arrangement, an agitator, and temperature-control accessories.

Working Principle

1. The required quantity of material is charged into the kettle.
2. Steam enters the jacket surrounding the product vessel.
3. Heat passes through the vessel wall into the material.
4. The product is heated, cooked, melted, or concentrated according to the process requirements.
5. If fitted, an agitator mixes the product to support uniform heating and reduce settling.
6. The processed material is discharged through the outlet or by tilting the kettle, depending on the design.

Condensate from the steam jacket is removed through a suitable condensate-drainage arrangement.
