Gas Springs / Indusrtial Gas Springs, It can be used with all applications in which lifting & lowering of loads must be controlled. They support manual forces and are used to control the lifting & lowering of lids, flaps,hoods etc. They are maintenance free ,self contained deliverable-ex stock, their integral grease chamber provides a lower breakout force reduced friction & extremely long life. Approx life cycle for these industrial gas springs is 250,000 cycles, So just fit it and forget.Bansbach gas springs are available with a range of piston rod diameters (typically from around 6 mm up to 30 mm or more), and the exact rod diameter for a 500 mm stroke unit will be selected based on the required extension force and application conditions. Gas springs are universally accepted ,where you want to push ,pull,lift, lower & position covers,lids or other components by hand without using an external energy source. They are individually filled to a predetermined pressure to suit a customer requirement. Gas springs offer a high service life with hard ceramic coating on the piston road. Also an integral low friction bearing with grease chamber which provides a very low break away forces. It allows them to be mounted in any orientation. Although rod downwards is preferable if you want to take advantage of the built-in end position damping.
