ShaliTex® Primer is a solvent based bituminous primer that seals pores in surfaces such as concrete and improves the adhesion of bituminous materials that are to be applied to the substrate. It is suitable for brush or spray application. Approvals / Standards IS: 3384 - 1986. Product Information Form, Colour Black, thin, smooth liquid Handling & Storage The material must be stored in a shaded area with minimum exposure to sunlight and UV. The containers should be protected from all sources of heat, ignition & extreme cold. Packaging Available in 20 L pail and 200 L drum. Shelf Life 12 months when stored in unopened sealed conditions away from heat and sunlight. Handling Precautions As with all chemical products, care should be taken during use and storage to avoid contact with eyes mouth, skin and foodstuffs. Treat splashes to eyes and skin immediately. If accidentally ingested, seek immediate medical attention. Keep away from children and animals. Reseal containers after use. Substrate Moisture Content < 5% Application Methodology • Before applying the primer make the concrete surfaces free from dust and sand particles by brooming and allow it to dry. Concrete should be cured and should be 28 days old. • ShaliTex® Primer should be thoroughly stirred before use and applied to the substrate by means of brush, roller or spray at the mentioned spreading rate. • Allow it to dry for 24 hr. Precautions • Ensure not to apply when temperature is less than 5°C or during foggy period. In case of contact, immediately rinse the eyes with plenty of water and seek medical attention. • Harmful if swallowed. Seek medical attention and do not induce vomiting. Cleaning & Maintenance Clean all tools immediately after use with STP Thinner only. Do not allow the material to harden
