Function: Sulfuric acid fume scrubbers are designed to capture and neutralize sulfuric acid (H2SO4) fumes, as well as other acidic gases, from industrial emissions. The primary goal is to reduce air pollution and minimize the release of harmful compounds into the atmosphere. Operating Principle: Scrubbers operate on the principle of absorption. The acidic fumes are brought into contact with a scrubbing solution (often an alkaline solution) that reacts with and neutralizes the acidic gases. This process converts the harmful gases into less harmful compounds or solids. Components: A typical sulfuric acid fume scrubber system includes various components such as a fan or blower, a scrubbing chamber or tower, a spray or misting system, a recirculation pump, a pH control system, and an exhaust stack.
