The "Thermal Inkjet" (TIJ) process is a type of inkjet printing, with which a print image is transferred contact-free and precisely to the carrier medium using small drops of ink. With thermal inkjet printers, the ink drops are fired out of the print nozzle by heating them up to 300°C.Thermal Inkjet (TIJ) printers use ink cartridge-based systems to apply traceability information onto packaging and products such as text, logos, 2D codes and barcodes. TIJ printers can help reduce production costs by printing directly onto packaging and cases, thereby removing the need for labels.
