Thermal Transfer Ribbon is basically a polyester film on which are coated different layers. Ink layer is transferred to the label thanks to the heat delivered by the thermal head of the thermal printer.Wax Ribbon are recommended for application and uses including coated and uncoated labels and tags, general-purpose labelling, shipping labels, carton labelling, retail tags and labels, print and apply applications.A thermal transfer ribbon is a thin film that is wound on a roll that has a special black coating on one side. This coating is usually made from a wax or resin formulation. During thermal transfer printing, the ribbon is run between the label and the printhead, with the coated side of the ribbon facing the label.
