It is a thermoplastic polymer of styrene which can be molded into objects. It is formed by the monomer styrene that results in the formation of polystyrene which is a synthetic polymer known as thermocol.Thermocol is produced from complex material called polystyrene. It transforms into liquid state on heating at more than 100oc and returns to solid state on cooling.
