The Triaxial Testing Apparatus is designed for testing 38 mm diameter soil specimens under controlled loading and pressure conditions and is suitable for determining the stress–strain and shear strength characteristics of soils. The system is provided with a robust loading frame having three selectable loading speeds of 1.25 mm/min, 1.5 mm/min, and 2.5 mm/min for controlled axial loading of the specimen. A 500 kg capacity load cell is provided for accurate measurement of axial load, while a precision LVDT is incorporated for measuring linear/axial displacement of the specimen during testing. A pressure sensor is provided for accurate measurement of pore-water pressure. The apparatus includes a complete triaxial cell suitable for 38 mm diameter soil specimens, supplied with all necessary accessories and designed to withstand a pressure of up to 10 kg/cm². A foot pump with lateral pressure assembly, having a capacity of up to 10 kg/cm², is provided for applying and controlling the required cell/confining pressure. The system is also equipped with a Bishop-type hand-operated pore-water pressure measurement assembly for manual measurement of pore-water pressure during the test.
