UCP series bearings are a type of pillow block bearing unit. They consist of a radial ball bearing (with an extended inner ring and set screws) mounted inside a cast iron housing that can be bolted to a surface. "UCP" stands for Unit, Cast, Pillow block. These bearings are widely used in industrial machinery because they are easy to install, align, and maintain. Key Features Housing (Pillow Block): Made of cast iron or sometimes pressed steel, providing a strong mounting base. Insert Bearing (UC Type): Deep groove ball bearing with wide inner ring, secured to the shaft with two set screws. Self-aligning: Can compensate for small misalignments of the shaft. Sealing: Usually comes with seals or shields to keep out dust and contaminants. Interchangeable: Standardized dimensions allow interchangeability among brands.
