The wattage required to operate the probe will increase as the load increases but the amplitude remains the same. The AMPLITUDE control allows the ultrasonic vibrations at the probe tip to be set to any desired level.The key difference between probe sonicator and bath sonicator is that in probe sonication, the probe is in direct contact with the sample, while bath sonicator isolates the sample from the energy source. Sonication is a cell disruption method which utilizes sound energy or high-frequency sound waves to break cells.Common units: Hertz (Hz) or kilohertz (kHz). Frequency measured in Hertz is the number of occurrences of a repeating event per second. Most high-power ultrasonic liquid processors operate at the frequency of approximately 20 kHz, meaning that their horns complete 20,000 vibration cycles per second.
