INTRODUCTION Lubricating oil after prolonged use in the engine's crankcase gets degraded due to oxidation, presence of water, carbon particles, oxidation sludge etc. This oil, if not replace, will cause failure of the engine. The disposal of used oil is a major environmental problem unless it is processed safely as the indiscriminate disposal will cause pollution to water bodies and land fillings. The proposal is to Manufacture Petroleum Lubricant oils and other Petroleum based products, from waste / used oils and manufacture of Lubricants to the specification required to satisfy the International Specifications. Lubricant Oils and Greases are the necessity today and ever onwards, also certain, Bitumen based products, especially satisfying the necessities of Automotive and Industrial segments though the products are available, still there is the need for the right product. We are equipped with the know how and the will to produce the required material. Though Products Manufactured in the process should give imperative consideration towards quality, stability and variety on an economical Parameter. The right selection to consider what properties are required for them in relation to the conditions of service and operating conditions, having the right properties such as Yield value, Viscosity and Consistency depending on the application. The quality manufacture is based on certain important Laboratory Tests, removal of split materials totally, such that the base product is pure and similar to the virgin base stock and blending it with standard additives suitably, such that the products, efficiency is proved through performance. Lubricating Oils, being one of the highest value products derived from Petroleum, should be conserved or re-cycled to the maximum extent technically possible. Similarly, all other Petroleum based products waste, such as Sludge, residue's etc., should be conserved, treated and re-used. Another factor that has contributed to the greater interest in regeneration of spent lubricant oils is the increasing concern for the environment. Disposal of used lubricating oils into water creates environmental hazards though laws are being enacted throughout the world for the disposal of waste petroleum products. In addition to these factors, lubricating oils containing certain additives, unless these additives are de-activated suitably, the properties can be harmful to the engines if used without proper treatment. So the used oil has to be refined suitably such that all waste matters are removed totally and obtaining the pure virgin base stock. The lubricating oils never wear out. They are impaired temporarily because of the accumulation of contaminants coming from extraneous sources or resulting from certain deteriorative chemical changes due to oxidation or bacterial activity. If the extraneous impurities and products of oil deterioration are removed by refining, the lost additives are made up, and then resultant oil becomes almost equivalent to fresh or virgin oil or even in fact better in certain respects. The World scene today is that the re-refined oils in the right method are considered more efficient and has better oxidation capacities. The re-refining plants are advanced in European Countries and USA. The leaders in the scene are France, Italy and Germany. Germany leads the list by using 39% of the total utility of lubricants with re-refined lubricant oils. The European Countries encourage and appreciate the re-refining Industries. In today's environmentally conscious world, recycling is the key word. Recycling is nothing new to the our ethos, where anything reusable is used to the maximum extent.
