K type thermocouple is one of the most widely used thermocouples. Materials: Positive leg: Chromel (Nickel-Chromium alloy) Negative leg: Alumel (Nickel-Aluminium alloy) Temperature range: roughly −200°C to +1250°C. Characteristics: Good accuracy and reliability over wide temperature ranges. Strong resistance to oxidation at high temperatures. Suitable for general-purpose industrial applications. 2. Washer Type (Ring Type) Washer type sensors are shaped like a flat disc or ring with a central hole (like a washer). Purpose: Designed to mount directly onto a surface using a screw or bolt. Ensures excellent thermal contact for accurate temperature measurement. Compact and mechanically robust. 3. Features Surface temperature measurement: Ideal for bearings, housings, or flat surfaces. Fast response time: Due to the thin washer shape and good contact with the surface. Durable: Can handle industrial conditions, sometimes with high vibration or pressure. Electrical connection: Usually via wire leads or a connector. Mounting: Secure via bolt or screw through the central hole. 4. Applications Monitoring motor bearings, gearboxes, or housings.
